Got to see a few really great shows last week...
The first one was @ 2640 Red Emma's, an incredible venue for the folk type.
The lineup was Pillars & Tongues, Elephant Micah, and Small Sur
I had heard about Elephant Micah a year or two ago from the Beatbots message board and Joe certailnly did not disappoint with several songs off of his new record. And I think everyone in Baltimore knows about the natural wonder of Small Sur. Pillars & Tongues were new to me. Here are a few videos from that show:

The next night I caught my old friend Atom Fisher of Good Guise at an acoustic showcase and then "Baltimore's own throbbing gristle," Janitor at the Hexagon... Atom has been a big influence of mine and I think he is one of the best songwriters I have ever heard. Here you go:

Enjoy!

Well yeah...
Well, umm yeah... Been a while no doubt. The cross country tour with the Bow Legged Gorilla was really fucking cool... Highlights include some awesome shows in Athens, Arizona, Claremont, Portland, Bozeman, Salt Lake, and of course home in Baltimore and New Brunswick. New Brunswick freaks that funky shit like that shit was in a blender.
Here is a music video I made for one of the songs off the album I was selling on tour. The footage is from a critical mass in Austin that I just happened to catch at the perfect moment.
Download the album here for free: http://www.easounds.com/mac.zip
I have been playing my classical acoustic Ibanez which has helped add a little depth to the solo performance. I am still not sure if I will settle with it forever, but probably for a while.
I am looking forward to a summer in Baltimore. Tanktops, tits, and hairy armpits indeed...

New Record!
Hi. I am finishing up my new record with my friend Ben Bass. It looks like it is going to have between 12 - 15 songs. And the title of the record is: "This Is Gonna Be That Kind Of Party." It is a collection of older/newer songs, recorded this past summer in Maine and in Baltimore on a Fisher Price Tape Recorder. I hope you like it. I am going to have about 100 CDRs packaged for the first run of discs.
We had a nice show at the Zoo last night: Viking Moses, Golden Ghost, The Wailing Wall, The Woolly Moon, and me.
Over and out.

The ZOO is Blowing Up!
So anyways, it has been a while... Here is a video of me playing a newer song at the Zoo, my basement venue.
In other news, I am planning my biggest tour yet, 50 shows across the country and back. It is going to be with the Bow Legged Gorilla. I will post the dates when they are all ready.

White Moth Angel
So I have been pretty busy recently. Working a burrito stand every tuesday then playing a free show after it at the Parkside Bar in Hamilton. Usually that show is me, Good Guise, and Cityslides with some guests like: Jonathonian Ehrenkranz, Baltimore String Felons, Pete Yorko, Mother Nature's Son, and American Folklore. You should come on out sometime if you're in Baltimore.
I also started working at the Golden West Cafe, booking shows and running the monthly open mic. Wanna play a show? Send me a message on myspace.
Played there with Peter And The Wolf again last night. It has been a year or so since we played at the Frisby House. I was kind of surprised I didn't notice anyone from that crew at the show. Anyways, I'm happy I bought both of his CDs. Listening to them now!
Other than that, I went up to the old family cottage in Maine for ten days this summer. I mostly hung out and played guitar and drank and smoked with my parents. I recorded 8 or so songs on an old Fisher Price tape recorder. So something will hopefully happen with those.
We also had a big family trip to scatter my Grandfather's ashes on an island in Canada. It was a nice way to honor him. I will always remember him.
A few nights ago I sliced the hell out of my foot while swimming in the Jones Falls at midnight. It was so worth it, and possibly the best night of this summer.
A white moth just flew into my eye; just lucky I guess?
Over and out...
